Lodge Factory Stores – Our story begins in 1877 when Joseph Lodge moved to South Pittsburg, Tennessee. As a fifth-generation, family-owned company, our founder’s legacy of quality cookware and innovation continues to this day.

Lodge started transitioning its foundry from a hand-pour operation to an automated molding method. Because of this manufacturing became safer and more effective, which at the time was quite uncommon.

In 1994, Lodge modernized its foundry once more as part of its commitment to conservation and technology. The result of the new melting technology used to replace the coal fired cupola furnaces won the Tennessee Governor’s Award for Excellence in Hazardous Waste Reduction.

After two centuries in business, Lodge is still coming up with new ideas. Bob Kellermann, our president and chief executive officer led the initiative to season each piece of cast iron cookware in the foundry. Then the procedure was completed in 2002, and Lodge introduced seasoned cast iron. It was a first for the industry, and it is now the norm.

In 2005, we started introducing complementary lines of cookware at Lodge. Constantly continuing improvement to our core range of seasoned cast iron, including our vibrant and varied selection of porcelain enameled cast iron. Since its launch, this line has received glowing reviews from the public and the media for providing European brands’ performance at considerably lower prices.

The 2013 launch of the Lodge Seasoned Carbon Steel range included a variety of skillets created in the United States and seasoned at the Lodge foundry. These durable pans are the ideal pans for those with culinary aspirations, appealing to both professional chefs and outdoor enthusiasts.
