Pigeon River Campground
Located on the border of the Cherokee National Forest and near the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Pigeon River Campground offers campsites, camping cabins, and RV campsites. If you want a place to stay near excellent whitewater rafting locations, you won’t find a better spot!
All sites have access to a swimming pool and general store to pick up supplies and a snack. There is also a laundry room, river access (with availability for private boaters and fishermen to easily get their boats in and out of the water), and internet access. The RV campsites offer back-in sites, hookups for water/sewer and power (20, 30, and 50 amp), and a fire ring and picnic table are available at each of the 12 sites.
The camping cabins offer a unique camping experience where you’ll be a little closer to nature with better amenities than hunkering down in a tent. Additionally, each cabin sleeps five guests and has air conditioning and heat, a microwave, fridge, and grill, plus a firepit and picnic table outside. Private bathrooms are near the pool area. Sit back on the covered porch chairs and relax as you watch and listen to the flow of the Pigeon River.
Anchor Down RV Resort
Anchor Down RV Resort is located on Douglas Lake and offers 170 sites with convenient access to Sevierville, Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and Knoxville. Each site provides luxury amenities like pontoon rentals, golf cart rentals, boat slip and jet ski dock rentals, and plenty of places to play. If you’re into sports there is a pickleball court, a beach area with volleyball, and basketball court. Kids will love the pool with the waterslide (and little ones will enjoy the saltwater kiddie pool) and playground. This is a pet-friendly RV resort with pet stations and a leash-free pet park.
The Dell
The Dell is one of the only RV Resorts in the Smokies that specifically caters to large rigs! The beautiful resort is conveniently located and offers all the amenities you need like gated security, full hookups, TV/phone/internet, gated security, and access to pools, walking trails, and a stocked fishing pond. Two sites include the rental of on-site tiny cabins (a one bedroom unit with all basic amenities and access to the resort).
Camp LeConte
Camp LeConte offers some of the most unique ways to stay near Gatlinburg. There are European 2–6 person safari tents, 1960’s retro campers, luxury tree houses, or you can bring our own RV/camper and set up in one of the 11 pull-through or seven back-in sites. If you really want to rough it, you can stay at one of the primitive tent sites. You’ll still have access to amenities like electric/water (available on premises), the 24-hour bath house, heated pool, and free wireless internet.
