The Greystone Lodge on the River - Gatlinburg, TN

The Greystone Lodge on the River, situated across from Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies, is a peaceful place for a weekend getaway in Gatlinburg. While there, you can enjoy outstanding amenities and the calming sounds of the stream breaking off of the larger Cliff Branch waters.

When you first arrive, head into the welcoming lobby and check in. You’ll get your room tickets and a parking pass, which allows you to park conveniently close to where your room is. They also have enclosed garage spaces for the upper levels.

PRO TIP

You can easily walk to most of what Gatlinburg has to offer and leave your vehicle at the Greystone. The Gatlinburg Trolley service is across the street if you want a unique way to travel.

Greystone Lodge Guest Room

The completely remodeled rooms are perfect for various kinds of visitors, including groups who may qualify for a group rate. They have suites for couples and families, executive rooms, and accessible rooms and suites. The family suites offer a private room for parents and a bunk bed for the kids. You can get ready for your day in separate bathrooms and chill out at the dining table or the sofa.

PRO TIP

Rooms are equipped with flat panel TVs, which have HDMI inputs. So if you want to take your Roku or Amazon FireTV, you can connect to the TVs effortlessly. You might need to take an extension cord, because some TVs are wall-mounted.

Greystone Lodge on the River Pool

After you arrive in your room, take a moment to acquaint yourself with the facilities. They offer a seasonal pool with a waterslide and a splash pool your toddlers and smaller children can enjoy. The business center is available any time, with complimentary beverages served. If you want to burn a few hundred calories at any time of day or night, the fitness room off of Building One has treadmills, a stationary bike, elliptical, and weights.

PRO TIP

Always take your room card with you. Exterior doors (including those that lead to exterior stairwells) require a room key for re-entry. Thankfully, the front desk is accommodating if you should lose your key.

Breakfast at the Greystone Lodge on the River is a buffet of food and is a delightful start to every morning. Savor the biscuits and gravy, heat up with scrambled eggs and hot oatmeal, and pour yourself a cup of hot coffee or tea.

PRO TIP

Arrive early for better seating options. The Greystone Lodge on the River does have overflow seating in the lobby area, which is home to a lovely fireplace.
