Tennessee Smokies

Located in Kodak, just a short drive from Sevierville, the Tennessee Smokies are a minor league baseball team that is currently an affiliate with the Chicago Cubs. The team is over 100 years old (founded in 1896) and started out being called the Appalachians before changing to the Smokies in the mid-1920s. They have been an AA class team since 1963. When you’re attending the game, you can find familiar baseball foods like hot dogs and peanuts, but also your favorites from Calhoun’s At the Yard. You can even get Cheerwine in addition to Pepsi products. The stadium serves up beer, wine, and moonshine at select events. Every game day offers you the ability to enjoy an all-you-can-eat buffet at the Double Play Café, which is open from when the gates open until the first pitch. If you have kids, get a $5 wristband for access to inflatables for the whole game. The Kids Zone playground is free for everyone to enjoy. There are a bunch of different ticketing options, from mini packages to senior discounts. If you visit the area often, you might even consider a season pass. You can always use the unused ticket exchange program.  Learn more about the team and what you can expect from their website.
