Gatlinburg!! We honeymooned there 61 years ago. Pulled in on Sunday night, not thinking that it would be crowded with Labor Day guests. We tried a motel on the main drag, but there were no vacancies. They did make a call to someone & got us a room at their private home in the mountain. The folks names were “Ords”, or something close. I do remember they owned most of the businesses in town. Very nice of them to open their home to two young marrieds! We enjoyed Gatlinburg very much. Several years later, we returned with our two children to show them our favorite town in the Smokys! Great memories!!
