Craft beers in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg

Sometimes the best way to wrap up a day is to chill out, relax, and enjoy a beer with a few friends! Craft breweries are certainly a fun way to whet your palate with some great beers. Both Knoxville and Asheville have numerous brewery options.

However, you might prefer to have a selection of craft beers from several different breweries all in one location. Brews from many of the Smoky Mountain area breweries and beyond can be found in several establishments right in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.

Speaking of breweries, you may have heard about the Smoky Mountain Brewery. Though not a feature of this article, they’re definitely worth checking out! You can sample Smoky Mountain Brewery beers at any of the Copper Cellar restaurants in the area (Cherokee Grill, Calhoun’s, and Chesapeake’s).

So let’s dig into our list of three great locations in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge where you can enjoy craft brews from breweries in the Smoky Mountains.

  1. Mellow Mushroom—Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg

Yes, they serve fantastic pizzas, but don’t overlook their bar! This is an excellent place to find craft brews in Pigeon Forge. Craft beer is their passion, and they serve up a diverse variety of brews. Besides local favorites like Yee-Haw brews out of Johnson City, TN, and Highland from Asheville, they also serve imports.

  1. Local Goat New American Restaurant—Pigeon Forge

You won’t be saying “meh” when you sit down in this local establishment. They have 24 varieties of beer on tap and a selection of 62 bottled beers. There are plenty of Tennessee and North Carolina options to pick from—if you leave thirsty, it’s your fault! They serve delicious, sustainable, locally-sourced food that is made from scratch. For sports fans, come and get your fix of games with NFL Sunday Ticket and ESPN Gameday.

  1. The Ship English Pub—Gatlinburg

Located in the Glades area, you can’t miss the white-washed building and English-style theming for this pub. They have a hefty selection of beers available, both on tap and in bottles. Beer flights are also available, which allow you to select four samples for one price. To appease your hungry stomach, they offer a variety of food, besides traditional English fares like fish and chips, bangers and mash, and meat pies. You can please even the pickiest of eaters with their menu selections!

Looking for more? Try The Casual Pint in Sevierville. Cross a liquor store and a bar, and you’ll get The Casual Pint. You can either go to the bar directly or choose from their extensive selection and take it to the bar where they’ll turn it into a pint for you to sip on. They also offer a sampling of food items to pick from if you get hungry while you’re visiting. Best of all, if you happen to have your own growler, bring it in and refill it with your favorite beer to go.
