Raft the Upper Pigeon River in Tennessee on this exciting 2-hour guided trip through the beautiful Smoky Mountains. A perfect trip for groups, families, and couples with no experience or who want to add to their whitewater rafting stories! Expect to get soaking wet and have lots of fun! Our guides pride themselves on our safety training and record as well as their ability to entertain you with our stories and humor while navigating you through class III-IV rapids and experiencing what rafting is about.
Raft through notable class III rapids known as Power House, Too Late, Vegematic, Razor Blade, and After Shave, to name a few of the 12 rapids. And class IV rapids are known as Lost Guide, Double Reactionary, and Accelerator. You will be excited through the rapids and have a chance to relax and swim if you wish in some of the flat water. You will be guaranteed to be excited and make memories.
The milder Lower Section of the Pigeon River allows you to relax and cool off on this 2-hour rafting trip through the Smoky Mountains on a guided raft with your family. The minimum age is 3 years old and is perfect for people and families wanting to be near the water, but not yet ready for big whitewater.
There are numerous opportunities to swim in flat water and to be introduced to beginning Class I, II, and III whitewater. This is a fun trip for everyone with safety as our number one goal. You do not need to know how to raft or swim. Your guide will entertain you and maneuver you through the rapids.
The starting point for the Lower section of the Pigeon River is at our outpost, where you will get your equipment and instructions and start your rafting adventure. You will enjoy about 2 hours on the river and then have a 10-minute return bus ride.
