romance in the smoky mountains

The Smokies are great for those planning a wedding, enjoying a nice honeymoon, or getting away for a couple’s retreat. With Valentine’s Day on the horizon, February presents the perfect opportunity for a romantic Smoky Mountain getaway. Certain deals aren’t available for that weekend, so planning a trip out the week before or after is both a good buy and an even better surprise!

If you are looking for a secluded place to stay, we’d recommend Cabin Fever Vacations. No matter what your activity calendar looks like, they have cabins all over the Smoky Mountain area, including Gatlinburg, Sevierville, Pigeon Forge, and Wears Valley. Plan like a pro with their Create Your Own package. Choose from a candlelight dinner, roses, a picnic, spa treatment, and more. We currently have a couple MobileBrochure.com coupons accessible from the bottom of the brochure page. Book four nights and get the fifth free, or get 10% off your entire stay!

Maples Ridge Vacation Rentals also offers a wonderful selection of cabins. Since it’s still winter, be sure to get your cabin with a fireplace, and cozy up with your loved one. They also have dog-friendly cabins if you travel with your pets.

Plan your visit around the Rocky Top Wine Trail. Get your passport at any of the locations, or you can download your passport on the website ahead of time. Visit any three wineries and get a free wine glass. If you visit all five you’ll get a free gift. Eagle Springs Winery allows six free tastings. If you buy a bottle, you can head up the street to The Chop House (with the bottle still unopened), and they’ll let you enjoy it with your meal without a corkage fee. Hillside Winery in Sevierville features locally-sourced grapes and bubbly wines. If you’re into fruity wines, visit the Apple Barn Winery and try samplings of their apple-based wines. They are also next to the Apple Barn Farmhouse Restaurant and Applewood Grill if you want to stop for a bite. If you want to see how wines are made, take a tour at Mountain Valley Winery on the Rocky Top Wine Trail. Last on the list is right in Gatlinburg with on-site customer parking—Sugarland Cellars. Take your unopened bottle to either The Peddler or The Park Grill and enjoy it during your meal with no corkage fee.

Enjoy a unique dining experience with The Melting Pot in Gatlinburg. They have celebration packages, so you can make the visit even more memorable. Everything will be ready when you arrive, and the package includes a commemorative photo with a Melting Pot frame. You can include a rose package, or choose the Ultimate package that includes a four course meal and wine or champagne, a dozen red roses, six chocolate-covered strawberries, rose petals on the table, and a framed picture.
