Inside Old Mill Lodging Cabin

It’s no wonder The Great Smoky Mountains National Park has been breaking attendance records. The area is beautiful, vibrant, and full of wildlife and history. It’s also no surprise that staying in a cabin nestled in the woods or a secluded pasture is the choice of many visitors—whether they be a family or a group of friends. We’ve selected three cabins from three different rental companies to help make your decision on where to stay that much easier.

HearthSide Cabin Rentals

View-Topia – 1 Bedroom

This cabin is perfect for a small family of 3–4. There is a king bed in one loft bedroom and a sleeper sofa available in the living room. Complete with a wood-burning fireplace inside and year-round access to an indoor swimming pool on the property, View-Topia makes an excellent selection for a winter cabin. If your family wants to connect while you’re having fun in the Smokies, use the free long-distance (US only) phone service provided by Comcast. Speaking of Comcast, you can also use it for access to On Demand, video equipment, and high-speed Internet.

Abundant Views—3 Bedrooms

This three bedroom cabin can sleep up to 10 comfortably. You’ll get some fantastic (and secluded) mountain views, plus free WiFi and DirecTV. Since it’s in the Wears Valley area near Pigeon Forge, expect a quiet night too. No motorcycles, 4-wheelers, or semis allowed! If you want to stay in your cabin the whole time you’re here, we won’t judge. Since it’s in a private and gated community, you’ll get access to the services and amenities of the community, such as 24-hour guards, an in-season pool, tennis courts, and more.

Smoky Mountain Getaway—3 Bedrooms

Sometimes you just need to sit back, relax, and watch a movie in your theater room. This cabin comes with a movie theater room that has eight theater chairs and plenty of space “down in front” for the kids. With three king beds and two sleeper sofas, you could even manage your extended family in this cabin! If you want to head outside you can enjoy one of the several wooden rockers on the deck, veg out in the hot tub inside a gazebo, or play a game of pool near the fireplace in the living area.

Aunt Bug’s Cabin Rentals

Sun-Sational View—2 Bedrooms

If you don’t want to leave your pets home while you are on vacation, bring them to Sun-Sational! This mountain-view pet-friendly cabin is packed with plenty of personality. Take in the majestic views as you enjoy breakfast sitting on the covered deck. If you are looking for something to do during your stay and you don’t want to go far, there is a golf course on-site as well as access to the resort’s indoor pool. Guests who visit say they can see the fireworks display from Dollywood in Pigeon Forge nightly. This cabin is a prime option if you want to disconnect from the rest of the world, as there is no WiFi or Internet access.

Heavenly Creekside—3 Bedrooms

There is nothing quite like opening your windows and falling asleep to the sounds of a bubbling stream right outside. This cabin is right on Cosby Creek. Your kids can walk right outside and down the stairs to play in the water while you sit at the top of the deck and watch. Or, you can huddle around a fire pit. The inside doesn’t disappoint with an arcade, TVs, WiFi Internet access, and a hot tub. If you come during the holidays, you’ll notice it all decked out with “boughs of holly.”

Splash N’ Play—5 Bedrooms

Nothing says luxury like having your personal private pool. This cabin is all new, inside and out. Located about 20 minutes from Gatlinburg in Cosby, you’re a quick drive to The Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Enjoy a home movie theater that seats 11, six TVs, an arcade, pool table, and plenty of space to fan out.

Old Mill Lodging

Bear Hugs—1 Bedroom

Technically, it’s not exactly a bedroom. It’s more like a bed cabin in the Smokies. They don’t allow children, so this is definitely a great place if you are in search of an intimate destination. Enjoy the gas fireplace, Jacuzzi tub, or the deck hot tub in the midst of peaceful woods.

Family Tyme—2 Bedrooms

Enjoy the crackle of a wood-burning fireplace in this cabin as you snuggle with your loved ones on the sofa. Perfect for families, this cabin comes with board games for endless play. Soak in the hot tub on the deck while you listen to the crickets.

Laurel View—3 Bedrooms

It’s time to go up the mountain! This three-story cabin is literally on a mountain top and has stunning Smoky Mountain views. Just six miles away from Pigeon Forge, you can plan for a Dollywood vacation from the comfort of your cabin. You’ll find the full-size kitchen equipped with stainless steel appliances and enough seating for everyone to enjoy meals together.
