Description
Clabough’s Campground – Smoky Mountain Family Camping at its Best
The Clabough family has spent five generations in Pigeon Forge and much longer in the Smoky Mountain area. Harold began construction on the campground in 1980. It was formally inaugurated in 1981. Harold gradually purchased a little additional land to construct the store that is still open and offers Exxon gas and a small deli that both locals and tourists visit.
Approximately 50 acres of the property remain from the original farm. As tourism became more prominent in the Smokies, the Appalachian Mountains experienced significant growth, but the people and their values have mostly remained the same. The business is still run on the principle that “you never hurt someone else to help yourself” and that you need just a handful of change to buy ice cream.
Convenient to Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and Sevierville, at Clabough’s Campground, you are just minutes away from the largest outlet shopping in the Southeast, with tons of attractions and restaurants to suit every age and interest.
Even though you are only 1/2 mile from the main Parkway in the heart of Pigeon Forge, the shaded campsites are protected from the glow of the city lights by a large hill and you feel like you are camping deep in the woods.
Located off Wear’s Valley Road (Hwy. 321), Clabough’s also gives you easy access to nearby natural attractions like Metcalf Bottoms and Cades Cove in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
Your adventure in the Smoky Mountains starts at Clabough’s Campground!
