Wild Wing Café

Three restaurant owners who understood the appeal of the chicken wing launched the Wild Wing Café. In Barefoot Landing along the Grand Strand over 15 years ago. Even though co-owners Mike and Patti Hilton and Walt Garnett have impressive restaurant backgrounds. Wild Wing Café has proven to be their most successful project yet.

What was the secret to their success? Mike Hilton says the first thing they noticed was that the franchise appeals to all ages where everyone has a good time. “We are a sports bar in a sense, but the space is so big, you don’t have to sit at the bar, or even near the bar, if you don’t want to”.

They always use fresh, never-frozen chicken. Sauces are also homemade every day. There are more than 20 tasty sauces on the menu, each with a different level of heat. While ranging from “Virgin” (ideal for kids) to the extremely hot “Braveheart,” earning a six jalapeno rating, most are in the center. There is something for everyone from appetizers to burgers, wraps, salads, and a children’s menu.

The recipe for success at Wild Wings includes live seasonal entertainment, all the sports broadcasts on numerous big screens, an outdoor patio overlooking a lake, and a full bar with 40 beers on tap.
