Day trips to Charleston from Myrtle Beach

Description

Take a trip back in time and experience the allure of the Old South by booking a day trip with us to Historic Charleston, South Carolina. On average, our air-conditioned tour bus leaves Myrtle Beach at 7 am and returns at about 6:30 pm. For your convenience, we provide three separate excursions. Boone Hall Plantation, Fort Sumter, Patriots Point or see them all.

Major John Boone, an Englishman, developed Boone Hall Plantation in 1681 when he arrived in Charleston. He built a prosperous plantation and gracious residence on the banks of Wampacheone Creek. His home’s stunning approach represents southern tradition and will stay ingrained in your memory for many years.

At the mouth of Charleston Harbor, in a strategic position that was essential to its defense, lies the Fort Sumter and Fort Moultrie National Historical Park. Stand where America’s worst conflict started. Here the first bullets were fired, starting a war that claimed more than 700,000 lives. Experience the Civil War’s first fight and learn about its causes with a National Park ranger.

The USS Yorktown, USS Laffey, USS Clamagore, as well as a large number of WWII-era aircraft, are on display at Patriot’s Point. The National Medal of Honor Museum is also housed here as well as an exhibit on the Vietnam War.

Our all-inclusive packages come with transportation, a carriage tour, lunch, shopping time. As well as a boat tour of Charleston Harbor, a tour of Fort Sumter, and a tour of Boone Hall Plantation. All tours include a vist to the City Market for shopping.
