The Original Captain Benjamin’s Calabash Seafood Buffet is a local favorite for its plentiful and fresh seafood. Situated in the heart of Myrtle Beach. Since the 1980s, Captain Benjamin’s has been providing authentic Calabash seafood.
There are 11 dining rooms available for your enjoyment, each with a special theme and ambiance. All of this is surrounded by a distinctive nautical collection and a welcoming environment for the whole family.
The Intracoastal Waterway is visible from the Waterway Room, which is located just outside and behind the restaurant. Enjoying this view while dining is a pleasure.
As you walk through the restaurant, you’ll see a lot of displays featuring the work of their master shipbuilder Jimmy Frost. There is a lot to see and do, ranging from small displays to the 30-foot Queen Elizabeth Model that you’ll encounter when you arrive.
On the Calabash bar, you’ll discover genuine Calabash-style seafood (lightly breaded and fried), as well as a variety of other seafood dishes like stuffed crab, tilapia, mussels, and shrimp scampi. Among the options available to land lovers are fried chicken, rib-eye steak, and teriyaki chicken.
Sweet potatoes, baked potatoes, hush puppies, a selection of vegetables, and more are available as sides.
